Qualifying Standards

In the interest of managing valuable resources, ensuring that competitive boats which will perform up to the standard of TC Crew and ensuring that there is a transparent standard, the following guidelines have been adopted. 

Qualifying for Stotesbury, Nationals and Canada for Girl's and Boy's Boats

Stotesbury

Individual boats must place top 3 at States - top 2 for Freshmen Boys.

*1V8 must qualify for to permit teams to enter a 2V8

*in the event that VASRA does not hold a Light 8 event the teams will race 1V, 2V, 3V (or coaches' discretion) in progression of boat speed (not by team naming convention) per VASRA rules. For the boat in the 3V event, it must have proven speed during the regular racing season (coaches rule of thumb is no more than 10-15 seconds behind the 1V8 in a 1500 meter race).

 

Nationals

Individual boats must win States or place top 5 at Stotesbury

*1V8 must qualify for us to enter a 2V8

*if there is no VASRA Light 8 event Lights must place top 5 at Stotesbury

 

Canada – (once going to SRAA, going all the way)

1V8 must win States or place top 5 at Stotesbury

Light 8 must win States or place top 5 at Stotesbury
